In an age when faith in God and belief in revealed religion are challenged by scientism, skepticism, and atheism, the need for a firm understanding of the Muslim creed has perhaps never been more important. This weekend course will provide students with the essentials of Islamic doctrine and its epistemological foundations, based on a reading of the classical primer The Creed of Imam al-Sanusi. Course topics include the attributes of God, types of propositions, causality, predestination and free will, the problem of suffering, prophetology, and the Kalam cosmological argument.
The $20 admission covers all three days of the course! Including dinner on Saturday Nov 23 at 5pm. Since this is the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal we will be having special celebration for the Birth of "The Beloved Of Allah" on Saturday after the lession and before dinner, around 3:30pm
