During this beautiful month of Rabi-Ul-Awwal and the end on the Gregorian calendar. We wanted to come together as community and get our priority right. Join us to understand as individual the conditions we are in and the conditions we seeks to introspect.
This will be a discussion of Ibn 'Ata'Allah Al-Iskandari's four possible spiritual states a seeker may find themselves in, and how to be with them. Discussion of how to patiently endure the trials we have been given.
Said bin Yunus strives to be a humble servant of God through his community teachings and work as a faculty member at the Napa Mosque. He was designated by the late Shaykh Muhammad Said Al-Jamal ar-Rifa’i ash-Shaddhuli (former judge and imam of masjid Al-Aqsa in Jerusalam) as Imam of the Shaddhuli Mosque Pope Valley, California. As an American convert, he has a foot in two worlds, one western and one Islamic, and his 15+ years of study and experience help to create bridges of understanding. Said has a unique ability for preaching the spiritual essence of Islam by emphasizing the central message of peace, justice, mercy, love, and freedom. His greatest passion is sharing the wisdom, beauty, strength, and love that emanate from this way. Said strives to open a deeper understanding (fiqh) of the practices of the way, empowering each individual as they walk their own path to Divine Light, Love and Mercy.
